Some pictures from the current Diffused Illumination prototype. Cheap wood, not painted yet,
but works really well. It took some time to get the screen evenly illuminated, which seems to
be the hardest thing to do, when using DI. I´ve used some material form an professional
lighting shop to diffuse the ir light from the spots, which is [...]
I orderd new Leds for the FTIR setup, as well as some more IR Spots for the DI Setup.
Both operate in the 880nm wavelength, compared to my old setup, which was at 940nm.
I am hoping to get better recognition of the blobs, since cameras semm to almost twice
as sensitive in the 850-880 range, compared to [...]
As of August first, our university is now called Zhdk (Zurich University of the Arts), after
completing a merge with another university from zurich (HMT). We are now one of the
biggest art schools in Europe, with aproximately 2000 students, and course offerings in
all aspects of art, design, theater and music.
